We sincerely appreciate our stalwart friends who came to Canto's blessing, despite the inclement weather. None of us expected Hurricane Dennis to return to the NC coast for another round, but Dennis finally made landfall and the eye passed over New Bern hours after Canto was blessed! |

We ask safe passage for this vessel, and for all who are on it. During our voyages, we hope to live in harmony with ourselves and other creatures. We recognize that we are stewards of God's creation; may we gain a greater respect for and understanding of its beauty and complexity. May we respect the differences in the people whom we meet and, in so doing, form a deeper kinship with them. We are deeply thankful for all the blessings that we have received: for family and friends and the comforts that we enjoy. If we find others in need, we ask for the grace to share generously what we have with them. We ask these things through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |
